O’Cannabiz Conference & Expo Announces New Dates for 2020

TORONTO, March 16, 2020 – In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, O’Cannabiz Conference and Expo, Canada’s premiere cannabis business event, will be postponed from April 23-25, 2020 to October 27-29, 2020 at The International Centre.

“In solidarity with the global community’s effort to curb the spread of Covid-19, and in cooperation with Public Health Canada advisories and provincial measures around large gatherings; along with the support of our advisory board, we have made the decision to postpone O’Cannabiz Conference and Expo until the fall. The health and safety of Canadians along with our speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, visitors, and staff is our number one priority,” said Neill Dixon, President of O’Cannabiz Conference and Expo.

Abstract

The quality department within companies is responsible for activities that have impact on the quality, safety or efficacy of the cannabis. It is also responsible for ensuring that all contracted services, which is more common today than ever before, are also verified to meet the quality standards set both by the company and the regulatory requirements. The training will discuss the concept of Good Production Practices (GPP), quality system requirements including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), complaints, recalls, laboratory testing and sanitation programs.

“Through sharing my knowledge, recipes, and experiences I’m hoping to nurture your sense of curiosity about cannabis, tinctures, and elixirs. I present some of the reasoning that brought these medicines into my life. You’re welcome to ask your questions about infused tinctures, elixirs, and to get excited about making your own! I’ll answer what I can, and provide references to further your own journey.”

Stacey Perlin presents her knowledge and experience with cannabis-infused tinctures. She’ll share her lessons from over the years and explain why she works with crystal and gem infused elixirs. She is an established public speaker, a long-term medical cannabis user, and works to support the cannabis industry in Alberta through a variety of projects and partnerships.

About this Event

Come join the Bureau of Cannabis Consuming Ladies (BCCL) for an evening of learning with Aurora to learn more about the many new Cannabis 2.0 products!

Aurora is a community-minded medical and recreational cannabis licensed producer. Aurora Educator and Sales Rep, Ryan Duchak, will walk us through what products are available now and what’s to come.

He will take us through an information deep dive on vapes and edibles and answer any questions you may have about these new products!
There will be un-infused edible samples for you to try so you can get a sense of what to expect in terms of flavor of some of the edibles on the market.
He will also demonstrate how to properly use and maintain your vape
Ryan will also cover capsules and oils as well since these products continue to be of high interest to so many!

If you have some products that you’ve purchased that you have some questions about, feel free to bring them and get your questions answered at the event!

This event will be a workshop with hands-on learning so that you leave with practical knowledge and next steps: whether that’s making the decision to buy a new cannabis product you haven’t tried before or learning how to make the most of cannabis products you’re already using!

All attendees will receive a Cori and Aurora swag bag!

Light refreshments, including non-alcoholic drinks by Hill Street and snacks by Graze Catering + Events will be provided!
