Mental Health for Cannabis Entrepreneurs

August 8, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm PDT

Canada is a country of small businesses, and also the first G20 nation to legalize Cannabis federally. These factors have combined to create an explosion of Canadian Cannabis Entrepreneurs, many of whom touch and don’t touch the plant as part of their offerings but face additional barriers and adversity.

Discussions about the mental health and well-being of entrepreneurs are markedly absent here in Canada. Our goals with this talk is to bring Canadian Cannabis Entrepreneurs together to educate, collaborate, and discuss mental health together.

Learn about the mental health issues entrepreneurs report, the impact of these concerns on business and personal lives, the strategies that can be used to manage these issues, and how to overcome the barriers faced in accessing services and support.

Develop practical tools and gather resources to help improve work-life balance, at both the personal and organizational levels. Learn how being clear on core values can provide the “glue” to coping and thriving as an cannapreneur, as well to avoid overwork and burnout, and develop resilience in the face of stress and adversity.

Knowing you’re not alone is the first step, developing knowledge, skills, and the connections needed to prevent or reduce existing issues is the next. Join us as we create an opportunity for Canadian Cannapreneurs to learn about your mental health and connect with others in the space.

Topics Discussed:

Personal and organizational mental health

Avoiding burnout and developing resilience

Dealing with stress and adversity

Work-life balance and Core Values

You will walk away with:

Practical Tools and Tips

Resources and Assets

Stronger Social Connections

Looking forward to seeing you there!
