Understanding Substance Use Disorders – Workplace Implications

Cannabis use is a hot issue, and with the July 2018 legalization date quickly approaching, now is the time that employers should be planning to handle potential implications and impact from cannabis use in their workplace.

Cannabis use on the job can impact everyone that worker encounters – colleagues, supervisors, owners, clients and customers.

Workshop guest speakers are:

Dr. Tony P. George:

Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto; head of Addictions Division at the Centre for Addictions and Mental Health (CAMH)
Dr. George will present “Understanding Substance Use Disorders and Workplace Implications.”

Susan J. Houston:

Mathews, Dinsdale and Clark LLP, will present: Accommodation, state of the law, drug testing, discipline, establishing policies.

Continental breakfast and registration will begin at 7:30 a.m.
