A public health approach to cannabis

KFL&A Public Health is hosting a consultation with community partners on cannabis, that will be led by the Canadian Public Health Association, on Tuesday, June 20th, 2017. The consultation is titled  “ (and other substances): Prevention, health promotion, surveillance and capacity building”.

 

The aims of the event are to:

  1. Explore and enhance knowledge related to cannabis use and co-use with other substances, including available resources, programs, services and capacity building opportunities; and
  2. Identify the capacity gaps of service providers as they relate to using data to inform service delivery, harm reduction strategies for cannabis use and organizational and community capacity building strategies.

 

Health and social service providers from diverse sectors across the South East region are invited to participate and share their perspectives.

Registration information will be distributed the week of June 5th. There will be a limited number of spaces, so please register soon after the registration link is released.
